We have identified the problem as an API outage on one of our domain providers. This impacts the ability to search for, edit, and register domain names in the Shopify admin. Storefronts are displaying normally. We will update when the issue is resolved.

We are aware of reports that Shopify admin for some shops is experiencing problems with managing domain names. Our operations engineers are looking into it. Sorry for the inconvenience – we’ll have a solution for this soon!
