We've fixed the problem and all affected Shopify domains are now working normally. You can now return to using a custom URL as your primary domain, if you changed it earlier. For more detailed instructions on editing your domains, see https://help.shopify.com/manual/domains/managing-domains

Monitoring
All Shopify domains that were previously unavailable have been restored. DNS propagation delays are expected and we will continue to monitor. If you updated your domain settings to use another primary domain, you'll need to review and update your domain settings again, once the domain is available.

Update
We are currently restoring domains for all shops affected. As we work toward a complete resolution, if your domain is currently unavailable, an interim option is to update your primary domain to your .myshopify.com domain and redirect all traffic to it. You can change your primary domain back to your custom URL once the issue has been resolved. See this guide for more details: https://help.shopify.com/manual/domains/managing-domains.
